FORT WORTH, TX: Men looking to easily support a great cause benefiting women and compete for luxury prizes perfect for Valentine’s Day can do so through a new campaign announced today by Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth. Called “Pink Tie Guys,” the fundraiser kicks off Feb. 12 with an event at Whiskey Ranch. Then the men have 24 hours to vie for the honor of top fundraiser through social media, with the winners announced on Valentine’s Day.

“Men and boys are certainly impacted by breast cancer and we want to reach out to the gentlemen in our community and ask them for their help to provide critical research and local breast cancer services for those who are uninsured and underinsured,” said Tracey Boyes, executive director Komen Greater Fort Worth. “Men can be instrumental in helping us make an impact to save lives in this community.”

On Tuesday, February 12th, at 6 p.m. the men participating in the fundraiser and their guests will gather at Whiskey Ranch for a short cocktail reception where they will pick out a one-of-a-kind pink tie compliments of Steve Humble and The Squire Shop. They also will be given a ready-to-use social media toolkit to use.

On Wednesday, February 13th, the Pink Tie Guys will sport their new pink tie, send out emails, post on social media and make calls to raise as much money as they can to fight breast cancer while celebrating Valentine’s Day. They will be featured online on a dedicated web page with their picture and fundraising page, as well as in local media outlets to celebrate their commitment to ending breast cancer.

The Pink Tie Guy who raises the most donations will be rewarded with a round of golf for up to four guests at Whiskey Ranch, Firestone & Robertson Distilling Company’s new distillery, in Fort Worth. The Ranch is situated on a 112-acre historic golf course where Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson grew up caddying. The package includes a private tour and whiskey tasting experience and a $100 gift certificate from Bloomingdale’s.

The second highest fundraiser receives a one-night stay at the Omni Hotel Fort Worth with dinner for four at Bob’s Steak and Chop House included. Third place will receive a signed bottle of TX Whiskey with a Waterford Bolton Decanter.
