Our Mission

Our mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.

What We Do

At Komen Greater Fort Worth, we believe that no one should have to die from breast cancer. However, every week, 24 women are diagnosed and four women die from breast cancer in our service area. We raise money to make sure women can receive the care that they need. Every woman, regardless of her income, deserves a fighting change. Through events like the Komen Greater Fort Worth Race for the Cure®, Komen Greater Fort Worth has invested over $23 million in community breast health programs in four counties and has helped contribute to the more than $800 million invested globally in research.

The Difference We Make

Komen Greater Fort Worth is part of the big picture to eradicate breast cancer. But we’re also focused on the local needs of our neighbors. 75% of the funds raised stay right here in our service area to fund breast screening services, mammograms, and breast health education.

The Difference You Make

Join Komen Greater Fort Worth in the fight to beat breast cancer. You can donate your time or resources or host a fundraiser in the Tarrant, Parker, Johnson and Hood county service area. You can know your normal and encourage those around you to know theirs. You can be a listening ear and strong shoulder to family and friends who are in the battle. And you can be an inspiration and tell your story as a survivor. There is a place for you in this fight. Your dollar might be the one that ultimately finds one of the cures. Your presentation might encourage a listener to get a mammogram and find her cancer at an earlier stage. Contact us today. We’re here to partner with you.
